“At the moment, most often, cinema shows what life should not be, in a way that is striking enough to make you feel disgusted by it. […] We must face life in its entirety and all that it still contains of ugliness, lies and cruelty, but by taking care to discover in ourselves the source of all goodness, all beauty, all light and all truth, to consciously put this source in relation to the world so that it transforms it. It is infinitely more difficult than running away or closing our eyes so as not to see – but it is the only truly effective means, the means of those who are truly strong and pure and capable of manifesting the Truth. […] We would like to be able to show cinematic representations of what life should be, but we are not there yet, far from it. […] For a movie to be able to show admirable things, people would have to experience them, the admirable things! No?”
